Funding

Two different sources of funding exist.

Seed financing is a sort of grant that can be used to start or plan a cooperative initiative. You may request up to SEK 200,000 for a project that you and your international partner(s) must finish within a year of the project’s start date.

Collaboration projects: These are available for larger projects that aim to increase the professional ability of the partner organisation and/or the wider target audience. You may request up to SEK 2 million for a project that you and your international partner(s) must finish within 24 months of the project’s start date.

Requirements

  • Swedish organisations (legal entities) from civil society and the public or private sectors. You must apply with a partner in one or more of the target countries listed above.
  • Your organisation must be registered as a legal entity in Sweden.
  • Your organisation must have been registered in Sweden for at least two years.
  • Your project partner may represent civil society or the public or private sectors in the target country. Formal or informal cultural actors, networks of journalists or other types of media organisation also qualify as partners.

Target Groups

The people who can affect change, form opinions, and advance democracy in the target nation should be the project’s target audience.
